iConnect Clears Roadblocks for Gunite Corporation

Gunite Corporation, a member of the Accuride family of companies, is the largest producer of wheel-end components in North America, designing, manufacturing, and selling more wheel-end components to the heavy-duty trucking industry than any other single manufacturer. With those goals in mind, Gunite turned to iConnect to assist them in meeting new customer electronic commerce requirements, streamline and improve current EDI processes, and to deploy an electronic supply chain with their supplier community.

Gunite decided to implement a new ERP/MRP solution that would better fit their expanding software requirements. With this task underway, Gunite began to feel the pressure of keeping up with new customer e-Commerce requirements. That is where iConnect first started to make an impact. Gunite requested iConnect to immediately address the changes to customer EDI requirements that were fast approaching. By outsourcing all their current customer EDI processes along with new customer implementations, Gunite was able to focus on their new ERP/MRP implementation. This outsourcing initiative consisted of migrating all of Gunite's EDI trading partners from their legacy systems, and enabling electronic communications with suppliers who were not EDI capable. "iConnect simply took that headache away. In fact, they improved our customer satisfaction rating as it related to meeting new e-Commerce initiatives", said Paul Zeien, Gunite's Director of IT.
